Breakfasts are part of our life, and should have a set of foods that help us and strengthen our body. Quinoa plays a very important role in the task of strengthening us and providing us with great benefits. It is prepared in many ways, and in many varieties; and making it as breakfast, is one of the many ways to consume it. Quinoa is definitely an indispensable food.

Breakfast de Quinua (Peruvian recipes)

Ingredients:

  • ½ kilo of packaged or loose quinoa (choose the most suitable).
  • ½ kilo of chuño or cornstarch.


Recipe procedure.

  1. Soak the quinoa, one day before cooking. Then, in a pot, add water up to half of it, and let it heat (turn on normal heat).
  2. Add the quinoa and let it cook over normal heat. Remember that before starting to boil, add 3 to 4 spoonfuls of chuño, and dissolve together with the quinoa (this makes the quinoa float upwards, and not remain below).
  3. Observe, and let it cook at normal temperature, and with a spoon move from one side to the other, until a single mixture is formed.
  4. Before turning off the heat, check for doneness and stir evenly from one side to the other. Serve in a cup, and accompany it with products that will benefit you and your family's health.

Note: If you do not opt for chuño, you can replace it with cornstarch. Remember to use the exact measure for each type of preparation.
