Maracuyá sour (Peruvian recipes)

The passion fruit sour, is a cocktail prepared for summer and hot weather. And its preparation is easy to make. The passion fruit sour, is prepared for all kinds of social events, which has to do with parties, and large gatherings. For its preparation, we need the passion fruit pulp, pisco, and Angostura bitters, and then liquefy it, to obtain a good sour. This cocktail uses the same ingredients that are usually used for pisco sour, chicha and chilcano sour. There is no doubt that this cocktail will be our ally for these hot weather, I invite you to try it!

Maracuyá sour (Peruvian recipes)

Ingredients:

  • 10 medium sized passion fruit (blended and strained, do not add water only pulp).
  • 1 pisco de quebranta or the best.
  • 1 ounce of egg white.
  • 1 Angostura bitters.
  • 1 gum syrup.
  • Ice cubes.

Procedure of the recipe:

  1. Over a shaker, add the liquefied passion fruit, and the 3 ounces of pisco quebranta (this is done for each type of preparation).
  2. Then, 1 ounce of egg white, and the ice cubes. And finally 3 ounces of Angostura bitters.
  3. And with the help of your hands, start with the shake from top to bottom. Do it for 30 seconds depending on the speed we do it.
  4. Serve over a glass, or a glass and garnish with the gum syrup. 
  5. Remember to decorate this cocktail to your creativity; and as always, accompany it with your loved ones you love the most.

Note: If you do not have a measuring instrument; which will allow you to calculate each "ounce"; you can do it by calculating with any instrument, but with 29 ml of input (i.e., one ounce equals 29 ml).
