Ceviche de maruchas is delicious and easy to prepare.
The Ceviche de Maruchas, is a Peruvian food that has the same procedure to prepare the fish ceviche. This time, we only need maruchas to accompany it, and in fact, we can combine this delicious food with fish. In this way, we achieve a delicious combination, and we will be able to enjoy this lovely meal. The main ingredients of ceviche de marucha are: well washed maruchas, lemons, onion salad, and yuyo (also called mococho).

Ingredients of the Peruvian maruchas ceviche.
- 500 grams of fresh and well-washed maruchas.
- Chopped onion salad in julienne.
- 500 grams of fish, you can choose the fish that you want and adapts to your ceviche. We recommend using toyo fish.
- Umami seasoning, or known as ajinomoto.
- Fresh ground garlic.
- Pepper to taste.
- Cumin to taste.
- Ground kion, or cut into small pieces.
- Salt to taste.
Procedure of the recipe.
- The first step, is to wash well the small maruchas and clean them of the sand that they can have. Wash up to 3 times, to make sure that everything is well cleaned.
- Now, on a bowl; add these maruchas and the fish cut in small dices, and squeeze lemon (to this lemon squeeze in a glass to work much better).
- Prepare the onion salad, and the yuyo (wash well and eliminate the sand that it has). And have it ready in a clean container, and over water.
- Mix the lemon juice, and add the seasonings to taste: ground garlic, pepper, cumin, kion and salt to taste.
- Taste for flavor, and let it take consistency. Add more garlic if you wish to improve the flavor, and add salt to taste.
- Serve with chopped green chili and a fruit drink.
Note: The key to all ceviche is to get fresh ingredients in good condition. And season with salt to taste.
