The sancochado de res, is a typical soup of Peruvian cuisine, and it has an
easy to make procedure. Its main ingredient is beef, and you can see
preparations where beef bones are used to prepare it. In a few words, it is a
delicious recipe, and it is part of the categories of Peruvian broths. If you
wish to prepare it, follow the procedure.

Ingredients of the recipe.
- 2 kg of beef.
- ½ kg of chickpeas.
- 4 medium carrots.
- 1 kg of broad beans.
- 2 split poros.
- 4 celery stalks.
- 1 peeled turnip.
- 8 yellow potatoes.
- 1 medium cabbage.
- ¼ kg of peeled yucca.
- 4 split corn.
Procedure of the recipe.
- Wash the beef, and proceed to cut it into pieces.
- In a pot, boil all the ingredients: the chickpeas, the carrots, the lima beans, the poros, the celery, the turnip, the potatoes (cut in slices), the cabbage, the corn (cut cylindrically) and the yucca.
- Do not forget to add the beef, and season with salt to taste.
- Season with salt moderately, and leave over low heat.
- Finish when everything is cooked.
- Serve in the morning or with bread. We can add noodles (this is optional), and arrange with slices of lemons.
This soup can be served at lunch, or in every meal you can prepare. Add a lemon cut in half, and a leaf onion salad. It will be ok.
