Peruvian Salchipollo

The Salchipollo, is a meal prepared with chicken prey, accompanied with french fries, and also with lettuce salad. This meal, like many others, has a very unique and singular peculiarity, since the way it is prepared is different from other dishes that have similar versions. Its preparation is easy and we can prepare it for our business or in our own home.

Peruvian Salchipollo


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of chicken meat (cut into small pieces).
  • ½ kg of yellow potato (cut into thin strips).
  • ¼ kg vegetable oil.
  • Soy sauce or Sillao.
  • Umami seasoning.
  • Salt to taste.

Apply hygiene rules.

Recipe procedure

  1. On our chopping board, the chicken meat, and proceed to cut it into medium sized pieces (the amount will depend on the environment to be cooked).
  2. In a bowl or container, season the chicken pieces with Umami, soy sauce and salt to taste. Always testing the flavor.
  3. We let it macerate for a short time; and on a separate space we chop the potato in small and long strips (this cut is known as "Cut cane"). We season with salt to taste; and then fry it over oil.
  4. For this; we heat oil on our frying pan, let it heat up and fry the potatoes so that they are well fried. We make sure that the potatoes do not burn.
  5. Then fry the chicken meat in small pieces, serve with the potatoes and the vegetable salad (lettuce, chopped tomato and radish all cut in small strips).
  6. It is also accompanied by sauces such as mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and lemon sauce.
