Ceviche de pejerrey (Peruvian recipes)

A delicious recipe for any occasion.

Today we are going to prepare a cebiche with easy preparation and pleasant taste. The way to prepare it consists of making a mixture of fish (pejerrey) and lemon juice. This ceviche is served with a passion fruit juice, and allows our meals to be pleasant and tasty.

Let's see how to prepare it!


Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo of silverside fish.
  • ½ kilo of finely chopped onion.
  • 1 cup of lemon juice.
  • 1 tablespoon of ground aji amarillo chili bell pepper.
  • 5 chopped aji limo peppers.
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  • 1 tablespoon of ground garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon salt.
  • 1 criollo lettuce.
  • 1 kilo of boiled yellow or purple sweet potato.

Procedure of the recipe:

  1. Remove the bones from the fish and cut them into small squares. 
  2. In a bowl, add the chopped onion, chili peppers, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Season to taste, and then add the fish from procedure 1.
  3. Leave to infuse for ½ hour, and then wrap them with the onion. 
  4. Serve with sweet potato and lettuce.
Cut up silverside fish.
