Beef broth (also called beef soup), is a meal prepared in several ways. It is accompanied by vegetables, of which we can add to our taste. You can add vegetables such as carrots, chickpeas, corn, turnips and potatoes. This soup is usually prepared to accompany lunch, and is also served in restaurants, and is usually prepared by a large number of housewives. Let's see how to prepare it.

Ingredients for the beef broth.

  • 1 kg of beef cut into medium-sized pieces.
  • ¼ kg of carrots (cut into strips and well washed).
  • 1 fresh turnip cut into small strips.
  • 4 colored and peeled potatoes.
  •  1 corn peeled and cut in slices.
  •  Chopped cilantro.
  • ¼ kg of soup noodles.
  • Umami seasoning.
  • Salt to taste.

Recipe procedure.

  1.  In a pot, add half of the water and let it boil until it is very hot. And in that period, we add the beef that we have obtained (but cut into medium-sized pieces).
  2.  And with a spoon, we move it from one side to the other, so that we can observe its texture, and know if it is ready.
  3.  We resort to add salt, and check if the water contains flavor. And if not, we add salt to taste (it is advisable that the flavor is to your taste).
  4.  When the beef is cooking, over the water, we add those ingredients that should be cooked more, such as: the corn cut in slices, the potatoes (cut in small slices), the carrots, the turnip, and finally, the soup noodles.
  5. And we cook it over medium heat, for a better cooking.
  6.  We cover the pot previously, and let it cook. And when it is getting to the point of cooking, add a pinch of Umami seasoning, and stir with a spoon for a better grip (this seasoning serves to enhance the flavor of our meals).
  7.  Once ready, serve with all the ingredients, and serve with oregano, cilantro, and fresh lime wedges (see photo for reference).
  8. As always, enjoy this meal with your family, and those you love the most.

Note: Before adding each ingredient into the pot, the main thing is to flavor the water in which the meat is cooked. To do this, season the water with salt and give it a personalized flavor (or use salt to taste).
