A very delicious type of fish ceviche.

The Ceviche de Toyo is a Peruvian food that unlike the traditional ceviche, which uses common fish, or "fine"; it has a different aspect which helps to make the flavor more delicious and representative. The meat of the Toyo, is an aspect that allows this dish to garnish very well. And although there are other much more superior fish, this will be the ideal one in terms of economy and if it can be found in a local market.

Toyo Ceviche

Recipe ingredients.

  • 1 kg. of dogfish fillet.
  • 1 large onion cut to the feather.
  • 1 clove of minced garlic.
  • ½ cup lemon juice.
  • ½ cup of sour orange.
  • 1 chopped fresh chili bell pepper.
  • Ground chili to taste.
  • Chopped coriander.
  • Corn.
  • Cooked sweet potatoes.
  • Salt.
  • Pepper.

Procedure of the recipe.

  1. Wash the fish well, cut in squares, season with salt, pepper and cover with the juices, leaving to rest for one hour.
  2. Add the chopped and ground chili, the well washed onion, and let it rest for another hour. Sprinkle with chopped coriander and serve with corn.

Note: Before using the ingredients, wash them well to prevent diseases.
